Hello, I am Christie Crook. I hail from Idaho and I currently live in Boise, Idaho. I am working towards getting my teaching certificate for Idaho. I am currently teaching but not in a professional manner. I teach at a commonwealth where my daughter attends. As a family we are making the jump from homes school to private school. I've been teaching informally since I was a senior in high school.

When I started teaching I was teaching elementary school students technology classes. I have since then taught elderly how to use the computer. I started home schooling my kids in 2015 and I joined a commonwealth in 2020 and I have taught either younger kids or teenagers since. I've taught a variety of classes some that I have written the curriculum for and some that had a predetermined curriculum. I actually like taking curriculum and making it my own and I really enjoy writing my own as well.

My area of expertise is secondary education. I chose that because I enjoy teaching the kids how to think and not what to think. There is a quote that comes to mind about teaching. "The role of teachers Is to inspire. A teacher can't educate anyone but herself. A teacher can, however, inspire others - which is in fact the essence of teaching." (A Thomas Jefferson Education).
